About the tauranga districts
New Zealand Certified Builders (NZCB) is a membership organisation set up by a group of trade qualified builders in 1998. These builders, led by Tauranga’s Craig Wilkinson, wanted to create a group that would protect homeowners from unqualified builders and unethical practices and promote excellence in building standards.
An industry leader, NZCB has an extensive membership of builders throughout New Zealand proudly carrying the NZCB stamp of approval. Each builder is trade qualified with a strong history of stability and success. Not only are homeowners guaranteed first-class knowledge and expertise when working with an NZCB approved builder, each home is covered by New Zealand’s Halo 10 year residential guarantee for peace of mind throughout the building journey.
NZCB has established 22 Regional Associations around the country. Tauranga Districts has its own active committee led by a local President. These Presidents meet regularly to ensure information from the Board and National Support Office is disseminated to members efficiently and vice versa.

Welcome to the TAURANG DISTRICTS NZCB website.
I run a small local building company but have also been the NZCB President for Tauranga Districts region for past 2 years or so and a proud member of NZCB. Locally born and bred, passionate about building in the Bay, I endeavour to help expand the knowledge of other builders in our region with the help of a great committee and coordinator. We run regular meetings that are free to attend and are open to all trades.
We also have our annual Build-It Expo held at Classic Flyers (next one 14th March 2019). We have some great regional partners who help support our local NZCB region which allows us to function, we also fund raise to help towards local Charities such as Homes of Hope, Alzheimer’s Tauranga, and local Surf Clubs to name a few.
